I have loved animals since my family got our first dog when I was 5. Our family had 3 dogs over the course of my time at home and all of them were family. Timber the Yorkie, Brandy the Brittany Spaniel and Buttons the Maltese all had unique personalities and a lot of facial expressions if you looked close enough. 

Fast forward to 2018 when I discovered fiber arts after years working as an artist in the digital world. Fiber art felt like a warm hug of texture, color, and construction that made sense to me. 

I love my subjects in every portrait. It's a chance to capture a moment in time; something special in the eyebrows, the corner edge of a smile or the shape of the eyes. As soon as that moment appears I know it's done.
